Why We Like The ASSOS Mille GTO C2 Bib Short
Assos takes total comfort one step further with the Mille GT Bib Short GTO C2. This short surpasses what would be expected of a daily summertime bib short to offer muscle support and pressure relief for our longest rides. Its seat insert is reinvented to eliminate friction and improve cushioning, and tapered, wrinkle-free leg panels keep us moving through miles of climbs and descents.

Good but not comfortable

This bib is pretty good in term of cutting and materials used. But after trying it for several rides from 1 - 4 hours, I gotta stop use it because it’s not comfortable enough.

I had always purchased at best middle of the road priced bibs and shorts from Castelli and Pearl iZUMi in the past thinking that there could not be that much of a difference between them and Assos. After having put several rides on these bibs now, including four long ones I can say without reservation that these are the most comfortable bibs I've ever used. The quality is outstanding, and the fit is great. Treat yourself one time and get these bibs. They are certainly worth it.

Best-fitting bib-short yet

I'm been wearing size large in Assos bib-shorts for years and years. My weight from 175 to 163 pounds in the past few years. I purchased large and medium and tried on both sizes three times, one after the other for quick comparison. I decided to keep medium. Surprisingly, both sizes fit me seemingly the same, however, in large the elastic material around the waist—just above the groin area—is really flabby and loose compared to the medium which is taut. If you have a big belly get a large. I'm 69, have a 33" flat waist, and 36" hips. Comfortable and great fitting bib-short. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. I'll be buying more in the future.

My New Favorite

I have been frustrated with Assos. Their products have been inconsistent in fit and quality, but their prices are consistently high. They change the name of a product line and give it a name that has nothing to do with previous products and you really do not ever know what you are getting. These are a home run. The padding is thicker than usual in all of the right places. This is a new blue chamois that really fits well and does not chafe. It keeps pressure off the key areas that causes numbness. Perfect on really long rides.

Almost Perfect, But I Returned It

Wearing this Bib is like wearing a tux, it's well tailored and form fitting. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit me perfectly. I usually wear a Small for all the Equipe bibs, this one fits well from a size standpoint, but the pad is too small. My seat bones are right at the edge of the thick padding. The padding is quite thick also, it takes some getting used to. I really wanted to keep it, but at that price, it must be glove fitting perfect, and it's not.

I have Castelle Free Aero, Pear Izumi, Giro, and Bontrager bibs, time to start replacing each. Researched the Assos GTO C2 and looked at all the reviews I could find, all 5 star. All my other bibs are good but always seemed to not do the job for rides over 40 miles. Decided to purchase the Assos GT0 C2 LONG. I can tell you this bib is by far the best I have ever had, especially for long distance, there is no comparison to the other bibs I have used. I will be buying a second GTO soon so I can easily rotate. I am 5' 9" 172 lbs and purchased the MEDIUM in a LONG, the fit is spot on and very aero. I HIGHLY recomment!

Just what you would expect to get from Assos& Premium and attention to detail. These bib shorts are fantastic. I couldn't ask for more from a bib short that replaced the Cento.

Everything from Assos is incredible, but these bibs step it up a notch. With the unique bibs locking the chamois in place, there is zero chance of hot spots even in the hot summer climate of Southwest Florida. A great product that fits true to size.

I've had top bibs from Santini, Nalini, Castelli, Vermarc but not Assos until now. They all have +/- but the Assos floating pad sticks to you and stays in place even as you are shifting around on the saddle. I think it leads to less chafing and fewer sores. Also, these new style multi-piece pads (from different manufacturers) with the channel down the middle are like have a piece of the saddle sewn into your shorts. And in the case of the Assos floating pad, after applying cream (Noxzema), it's like having that saddle pad glued to your testicles. Minimal chafing, stays in place, great support where it's needed. You can ride back of the saddle when spinning lightly, or nose of the saddle when putting down some power in equal comfort. I'm 5'9'' 150lbs with 33.25" inseam. So, I use XL in all of the above brands to get the right length. With the GTO design, this makes the waist area quite loose, but only when standing upright. It is very comfortable in the bike position and the important sections around the butt, crotch and thighs are perfect. I think an L in the long version would have been a better choice.
