Why We Like The Ibis Ripley GX Eagle AXS Transmission Carbon Wheel Mountain Bike
Whether we are cruising the singletrack or ripping more technical lines, the Ibis Ripley is always a solid choice. The Ripley's lightweight frame, dual 29-inch wheels, and renowned DW-link suspension platform combine to give us a trail bike that rips through trails and is the epitome of efficiency. 120mm of DW-Link suspension climbs with ease and descends confidently, making for a balanced and capable trail machine. A 66.5-degree head tube angle keeps us stable and under control on steep descents, and a 76-degree seat tube angle positions us upright and over the pedals for an efficient pedaling position. Short 432mm chainstays across all sizes give us a playful and agile bike, while the longer reach gives us confidence when plowing down steep black trails. The Ripley features integrated downtube and chainstay protectors to protect our frame from rock strikes and chain slaps, and a water bottle mount inside the front triangle allows us to take along a water bottle so we are always hydrated. The newest version of the Ripley received a revised swingarm on the rear of the bike, giving us a wider, 55mm chain line for enhanced stiffness, and a Universal Derailleur Hanger future-proofs our bike.
The GX Eagle Transmission AXS Carbon Wheel build of the Ibis Ripley features an electronic drivetrain, Ibis's carbon wheels, and a great value. First up, Ibis's carbon frame uses the best carbon fiber available to give us a super lightweight, stiff, and capable frame ready to take on anything we can throw at it. SRAM's GX Eagle Transmission AXS drivetrain gives us a huge 12-speed 10-52t gear range, flawless electronic shifting, and a super durable and replaceable design. Fox Factory suspension takes this build to the next level and supplies us with a Factory 34 fork up front sporting 130mm of travel to keep us upright as we plow through the chunkiest of trails. A Fox Float Factory DPS rear shock keeps us in contact with the ground and gives us tons of adjustments to tune our suspension to our riding style. Finally, Ibis supplied their own S35 carbon rims paired with Industry Nine Hydra hubs to give us premium performance
*Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, material weight and exact components are subject to change.
