Furtado Carbon CC X01 Eagle AXS Reserve Mountain Bike

Juliana strikes the perfect balance between technical capability and endless fun with the Furtado Carbon CC X01 Eagle AXS Reserve Mountain Bike. Now designed around a mixed-wheel platform, the 29in front wheel floats over boulder steps, diagonal roots, and off-camber jank with ease. Out back the 27.5in rear wheel lets us rail corners, find transition, and boost trailside jumps thanks to the nimble and maneuverable ride feel. Juliana outfits the Furtado with 130mm of rear travel for a balanced amount of traction that benefits from a custom shock tune to support lighter riders. The Glovebox in-frame storage system comes in handy on just about every ride, letting us stash our tools, layers, and essentials right in the bike’s downtube. Juliana finds the sweet spot between stability and precise steering with a 64.9-degree head tube angle (low position) that makes the bike feel intuitive from flow trails to tight switchbacks.

Decked to the nines with top-end components, this build starts off with the lightest, stiffest, and strongest Carbon CC layup from Juliana. SRAM supplies the low-maintenance electronic shifting we’ve come to expect from their X01 Eagle AXS components, plus the gear shifts are instant. Top-spec suspension bits from RockShox include a Pike Ultimate fork with 140mm of travel and loads of adjustments, along with a Super Deluxe Ultimate shock that delivers high-end performance. The highlights continue with carbon Reserve 30HD wheels that are truly industry-leading in terms of durability, along with being fast-rolling and super lightweight.
