From race day to cross-country rides, we love the Pivot Mach 4 SL Pro XT/XTR 100 Carbon Wheel Mountain Bike for its need for speed and efficient pedaling platform. At the heart of this race-day rig, Pivot's DW-Link suspension platform provides an ultra-smooth and efficient ride. Combining efficient anti-squat characteristics that keep us from bobbing around on the climbs, with a planted feel on the descents, the DW-Link suspension platform boosts confidence and makes us feel like we can take on anything. Going hand-in-hand with the suspension platform, two of the standout components of this bike are the Fox Factory Step-Cast 32 100mm fork and the Fox Factory DPS shock, making for an adjustable, reliable, and smooth ride.

This bike features Shimano's XT/XTR hybrid build with a mixed drivetrain, sporting a 10-51t cassette and Shimano's XTR derailleur. Reynolds Blacklabel XC carbon wheels take this build to the moon and are stiff, super-lightweight, and include Industry Nine's premium Hydra hub. Fast-rolling Maxxis Rekon Race tires are a perfect cross-country race tire due to their low weight and rolling resistance. Every Mach 4 comes equipped with a downtube protector, chainstay protector, and a tool dock for protection and tool carry when out on the trails. To truly send this build into the premium category, Pivot equipped this ride with a Fox Factory Transfer dropper post, making for smooth transitions of saddle height and adding more Kashima coat for the style points.
