The 100mm of rear travel is powered by DW-Link, which is one of our favorite rear linkage designs for its predictable tracking in uneven terrain. The Mach 4 SL is extremely efficient thanks to its steep 67.5-degree head tube angle, which provides reactive steering characteristics and an efficient position for pedaling out of the saddle. The Fox StepCast 34 fork provides 120mm of travel to stand up to increasingly demanding modern XC courses, and it features a remote for on-the-fly lockout control. The Mach 4 SL rolls on 29in wheels for their ability to carry momentum over long sprints, and their enhanced rollover capabilities that come in handy for rock steps and off-camber roots.
