Why We Like The Heckler 29 Carbon S e-Bike
We love e-bikes for the freedom and confidence they provide, and the Heckler 29 Carbon S e-Bike in particular proves we can go further off the beaten singletrack. It features all the maneuverability and handling we want from a mountain bike, combined with the power provided by a 720Wh interchangeable battery. Plus, a Carbon C frame that's as stiff and strong as Santa Cruz's Carbon CC frame, but without that extra dollar sign.
The power of a 720Wh battery means we're able to expand our trail map and access places we wouldn't normally be able to reach in one session. A longer range means more exploration, and this battery finds that balance between weight and power. Obviously, more battery means a slightly heavier setup, but that doesn't deter us from loving this Heckler. With it, we can go further in confidence and have more fun, too.
This Heckler's Carbon C frame faces a tradeoff. It costs slightly less, but weighs a tad more than Santa Cruz's Carbon CC frame. Both options, however, are almost equally strong and stiff, and feature a lifetime warranty for peace of mind. Made to last for many lifetimes of trail riding, VPP suspension features the versatility we need to face the tough stuff with confidence. The two stout links create a resilient bike that can handle whatever we throw at it and then some. Santa Cruz has been utilizing this kind of suspension since 2001, and it's been shown to provide high performance and versatility so we can have the best full-suspension bike possible.
*Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, material weight and exact components are subject to change. We are working diligently to keep tech specs updated, and any adjustments will be of equal or better spec level.
