Whether we’re riding hard-charging descents with our enduro buddies or we’re trying to keep up with the XC crowd on group rides, the Santa Cruz Hightower is ready to tackle anything we throw at it. The lightweight Carbon CC frame layup delivers just the right amount of damping to smooth out trail vibrations, while 145mm of VPP rear travel feels bottomless for plowing through demanding downhills yet is remarkably supportive for grinding up fire roads. This iteration of the Hightower gets longer, slacker geometry with a 64.5-degree headtube angle (low position), delivering incredible stability for navigating super steep trails and high-speed flow lines. The 76.4-degree seat tube angle allows us to get into a powerful yet comfortable position to spin away on singletrack until our heart’s content, and now the Hightower comes with the Glovebox integrated frame storage allowing us to store our tools, a tube, and even some snacks in the downtube.

The Hightower CC X0 Eagle Transmission kit is built to take a beating and then come back for more. SRAM’s impressively light and durable X0 Eagle Transmission drivetrain shifts instantly and smoothly even as we’re putting a hard pedaling effort in to make it up a steep climb. It also eliminates the need for hard-to-find derailleur hangers. Suspension duties are handled by the perfect pairing of a RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate rear shock and a 150mm Lyrik Ultimate fork, providing seemingly endless amounts of adjustment to dial our suspension setup to suit our ride style. A pair of 29in Race Face ARC Offset 30 rims get laced up to quick-engaging Industry Nine 1/1 hubs to keep us rolling over just about any obstacle in our way, and a set of 4-piston Code Silver Stealth brakes give us the ability to navigate technical descents with absolute precision. Whether our muse is ripping technical desert descents or smashing endless miles of high alpine singletrack, the Santa Cruz Hightower CC X0 Eagle Transmission Mountain Bike has the efficiency, capability, and speed to get us where we want to go.
