SB130 Turq Mountain Bike Frame

There’s no terrain too big or too tame for the Yeti SB130. This is our frame of choice when we’re looking to build up a bike for crushing everything from all-day adventure rides in search of super tech with the crew to entering an enduro race “just because”. The patented translating pivot design of Yeti’s Switch Infinity rear suspension changes direction as the bike goes through it’s travel providing us with a supportive pedaling platform and an impressive amount of rear wheel traction on both the climbs and the descents. Paired with a Fox Factory Float X shock, the Switch Infinity rear suspension offers 130mm of travel that is ready for whatever gnarly terrain we choose to tackle. The Yeti SB130 frame features the meticulously hand-laid TURQ series carbon fiber layup for an incredible strength-to-weight ratio. This provides us with the perfect balance of torsional stiffness and compliance for razor-sharp handling and just enough vibration damping without deadening the trail feel.

The Yeti SB130 frame offers geometry that is skewed towards being a skilled descender but we’re still more than happy to pedal it all day when it’s time to earn our turns. A 65.5-degree head tube angle delivers unwavering stability at speed, boosting our confidence in technical terrain. Designed to be paired with a 150mm to 160mm travel fork, the SB130 is at home on virtually any trail. A steep 77-degree headtube angle, for a size medium, moves us further forward on the bike so we can throw down some power on the climbs without having to worry about losing control of the front end. Yeti prevents the feeling of a cramped cockpit by increasing the reach so we can move around the bike with ease on the downhill. Short 17-inch chainstays keep the SB130 super nimble so we can smash through corners and pop off features with ease. The Yeti SB130 is ready to rail berms, pop off side hits, and hit hot laps on the local flow trails while still making us want to pedal back up to the top for another round.
