SB140 C1 SLX 29in Mountain Bike

Shredding after-work hot laps, sending side hits, and crushing seemingly endless climbs are all on the menu for the newly redesigned Yeti SB140. Now sporting 29-inch wheels, the Yeti SB140 is more capable than ever. Yeti’s engineers updated geometry to create a consistent ride feel across the entire size range and also updated their super strong C/Series carbon layup to strike the perfect balance between torsional stability and frame flex so we get a responsive ride that handles with complete precision. 140mm of Switch Infinity rear travel lets us maintain traction on everything from moss-covered rocks to loose desert dust and also provides us with a supportive platform for pedaling. A slack 65.4-degree headtube angle is paired with a 150mm fork so we can send side hits and smash through gnarly rock gardens with confidence.

The new Yeti SB140 C1 SLX build prioritizes high performance in a package that’s not going to break the bank. The 12-speed Shimano SLX drivetrain provides us with super smooth shifting even in chunky terrain, and the cost of replacement parts is a fraction of the higher-end XT and XTR groupsets. A 150mm Fox Performance 36 fork has easy-to-use adjustments so we can dial in our suspension tune to fit our riding style, and a set of 4-piston Shimano SLX brakes lets us precisely modulate our speed through high-tech features. The 29-inch Crank Brothers Enduro Synthesis alloy wheels let us boost up and over just about anything and are tuned for maximum grip in the front and stability at speed in the rear to keep us on our line. And last but certainly not least, the refined geometry of the new SB140 allowed Yeti to spec a long OneUp dropper post on every size so we’re not snagging our shorts on our saddle on the descent.
