Why We Like The Yeti SB150 Turq T2 X01 Eagle Mountain Bike
When our rides consist of going as fast as possible on technical trails full of rocks, roots, and drops, the Yeti SB150 Turq T2 X01 Eagle Mountain Bike is at the top of our list for enduro riding and racing. Boasting 150mm of plush Switch Infinity rear travel, a 170mm Fox fork, progressive race geometry, and unstoppable 29-inch wheels, the SB150 makes quick work of steep descents. Thanks to the Switch Infinity design, it maintains good pedaling characteristics for long days in the saddle that involve lots of elevation gain. It's much more capable on gravity-oriented trails than its shorter travel sibling the SB130, and is a little more suited to enduro racing than the bike park and freeride oriented SB165. With a 64.5-degree head tube angle and 480mm reach in a size large, the SB150 means business on the downhill. Yet with a 76.9-degree seat tube angle and the impressively supportive nature of Switch Infinity, it's more than capable as a long-legged trail bike as well.
This bike is equipped with a race-ready build kit that starts with SRAM's X01 Eagle drivetrain, providing crisp, reliable shifting, and a wide gear range that lets you maintain a good cadence up steep climbs while still having enough top-end gears to avoid spinning out under hard acceleration. You'll also enjoy top-of-the-line suspension from Fox, including a Fox Factory 38 up front with the plush, supportive, and highly-tunable GRIP2 damper, paired with a Factory Float X2 shock that offers impressive small-bump compliance and consistent performance on long, technical descents. Code RSC brakes with 200mm rotors offer plenty of stopping power, while the enduro-rated Maxxis Minion EXO+ offer another level of puncture protection over the standard EXO casing.
*Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, material weight and exact components are subject to change. We are working diligently to keep tech specs updated, and any adjustments will be of equal or better spec level.
